About Department

The Department of Science and Humanities, comprises of Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry, Department of Mathematics and Department of English with proper staff ratio and laboratory facilities as per the norms of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Pondicherry Technological University, Puducherry. Engineering is the process of devising a system, component, or process to meet desired needs. It is a decision-making process, in which the basic sciences, mathematics, and the engineering sciences are applied to convert resources optimally to meet these stated needs. Engineers apply the principles of science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems. Their work is the link between perceived social needs and commercial application.

The Department has well qualified and dedicated Faculty members plays a lead role in imparting basic sciences and mathematics involved in the technical education.  All the faculty members are well trained in Outcome Based Educational methodologies to foster innovative ideas and research among the Engineering students. The Department has well-established laboratories to accommodate students.  This department serves as the basis of liberal arts education and provides a platform to explore new horizons in the world of science.
